Over the next hour and a half, I have a cup of coffee, I'm starting to feel this workout thing, my bestfriend Billie Jo decides to join us and bring her two girls. I write out a work out plan and before you know it, we are hitting the field next to the lacrosse players, getting our sweat on!
I got my workouts from this awesome website that had exercise routines geared for kids, but oh my, challenging.
Workouts for Kids
Bottom line is we had a blast, the girls got a little antsy during the work out, so I had each of them lead an exercise, that helped. I also had music, with that Bluetooth speaker I bought (best purchase EVER!). After the 25 minute workout they played for another hour at Jim Macks, playing basketball, feeding animals, running, etc.
Invitation: If anyone that is local and is interested we are planning on doing this every Wednesday at 5:30 behind Jim Macks, bring your kids and lets work out, weather permitting of course. Everyone that knows me will tell you I am a fair weather exerciser.
Eventhough, I did not want to leave the house, I did. I got off the couch, took action, and everything else followed suit. It was a difficult mental leap. Why? Why do we do this to ourselves? I find this difficult to understand. Maybe it is discipline? A learned habit? Another gene that I wish I possessed? Either way, I am going to reach each milestone by tapping into my other talents: creativity, perseverance, and a few others. I think what it gets right down to, is how bad do you want it, how much is the outcome worth to you? There are experts, classes, seminars, and methodologies on how to successfully reach goals, but all of that goes out the window, if you don't have the drive to back it up. Regardless of what the end goal is, how we reach it; everyone's motivation to change is different, one thing remains the same we all want to succeed.
Here are a few moments from our workout together:
